I am a research and teaching fellow at the Department of Anthropology and African Studies (ifeas) at Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz. I studied Anthropology, Sociology and African Studies at the Universities of Bayreuth and Leiden. After finishing my PhD in Anthropology at the University of Freiburg in 2019, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher in a project on cultural and arts education at the Department of Political Science, University of Leipzig. Having previously done research on topics such as migration, work and leisure, I am about to develop a new project on the mediation of culture and lifeworld experiences in Malagasy Jazz.
