I am a PhD student in anthropology with a focus on verbal art (particulary poetry) and aesthetics. I studied social and cultural anthropology and African studies at the University of Bayreuth, then worked in the editorial office of a Berlin based publishing house with a focus on anthropological as well as archeological and art historical literature. In 2016 I started my PhD on Malagasy poetry within the framework of the DFG (German Research Foundation) enabled research project „Poetry as aesthetic practice“, during which I conducted 15 month of field research in Antananarivo, Madagascar.
